Sepecat Jaguar – historical background: The Sepecat Jaguar is a fighter-bomber that was developed as a result of cooperation between the British manufacturer British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) and the French Breguet Aviation. The project began in the 1960s, aiming to create a machine capable of performing strike and training missions. The Jaguar was the first military aircraft built jointly by two countries, which was an innovative approach at the time.

The first flight of the prototype took place on September 8, 1968, and serial production began in 1972. The aircraft was powered by two Rolls-Royce/Turboméca Adour engines, providing it with excellent performance, including a maximum speed of 1593 km/h and a range of 3525 km. The Jaguar was used by the air forces of the United Kingdom, France, Ecuador, India, Nigeria, and Oman.

Combat use: The Jaguar was extensively used in various armed conflicts. French aircraft participated in operations in Mauritania, Chad, and during Operation Desert Storm against Iraq.
