Set of paints Modern US Army and USMC AFV 8x17ml Hataka HTK-AS67

Acrylic paint set from the Red Line series, optimized for airbrush painting, containing standard colors of armored vehicles of the US Army and Marine Corps (USMC) used since the mid-1980s.

After a short period of using the complex MERDC camouflage, in the mid-1980s a new three-color NATO pattern was developed. In the United States, this process took place alongside the transition to chemical agent resistant paints (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating - CARC), which is why this scheme is often referred to as the "CARC scheme." The new pattern became the standard for all NATO ground forces and consisted of a base green color with brown and black deforming spots.

In winter conditions, it was recommended to use washable white paint for creating temporary camouflage. In desert conditions (ODS, OIF, OEF operations), CARC Tan or the newer CARC Middle Stone colors were used, which are characterized by a strong tendency to fade under sunlight. The interiors of heavy armored vehicles are painted in glossy white, while most armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles still use a distinctive shade of light green (Seafoam Green).

The set contains 8 bottles of 17ml with the following colors:

HTK-A016 Dark Green - FS34079 (MERDC Forrest Green), the main color of early M1 Abrams tanks and USMC vehicles during Operation Desert Storm.
HTK-A152 NATO Green - FS34094 (CARC Green), the base color of the standard 3-color NATO camouflage and the overall color of the Stryker vehicle family.
HTK-A188 NATO Brown - FS30051 (CARC Brown), used in the standard three-color NATO camouflage for most AFV vehicles.
HTK-A125 NATO Black - FS37030 (CARC Black), the black element of the standard NATO camouflage.
HTK-A153 MK-7 Temporary White - washable, matte paint for improvised winter camouflage.
HTK-A238 Desert Tan - FS33446 (CARC Tan), the initial standard desert color for US vehicles.
HTK-A090 Sand - FS33531 (CARC Middle Stone), a modern desert color (OIF, OEF), also used for panel highlights.
HTK-A239 Seafoam Green - FS24533, standard color for the interiors of modern transports (M113, LVTP7/AAVP7, M2/M3).
