Plastic model kit: Sherman III Direct Vision Type with early VVSS suspension 1:35 Asuka 35-017
This plastic model kit depicts the British medium tank Sherman III (American designation M4A2) in the version with direct vision driver’s hatches (Direct Vision) and early VVSS suspension type. The model has been developed by the esteemed company Asuka (formerly Tasca), known for its exceptional attention to the construction details of the Sherman tank family.
The M4 Sherman was the most important medium tank of the Allied forces during World War II. The M4A2 version, designated by the British as Sherman III, featured a diesel engine (General Motors 6046), making it less prone to fires compared to gasoline versions. The British extensively used these vehicles in the North African campaign, in Sicily, and in Italy.
Set features:- Early VVSS (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension) suspension.
- Direct Vision hull with characteristic observation slots for the driver and assistant.
- The set includes a tank commander figure.
- Tracks made of flexible material.
- High-quality decals for three units fighting in the Mediterranean theater.
- 1st Krechowiecki Uhlan Regiment, tank "BOHUN", 1943, Mediterranean theater of operations.
- 4th Armored Brigade, Sicily, July 1943.
- 9th Armored Brigade, tank "RODBOURNE", Aleppo, 1943.
The model allows for an accurate representation of vehicles used by the British Army in key moments of the fight for the liberation of Southern Europe. Precise molds ensure excellent fitting of parts and high quality of surface details.
