Plastic military model kit: Sherman M4A1 Late 1:35 Border Model BT056
A plastic model kit depicting the American M4A1 Sherman medium tank in its later production version. This set from Border Model, catalog number BT-056, is an offering for modelers who appreciate modern designs and high detail.
The M4 Sherman was the main tank of the Allied forces during World War II. The M4A1 version was primarily distinguished by its characteristic, cast hull with rounded shapes. Later production series of this vehicle received numerous improvements, including often reinforced armament and modified gun mantlet and vision port covers. These tanks took part in the most important military operations in Western Europe and Italy, forming the core of US armored forces.
Model characteristics:
- Scale: 1:35
- Precisely reproduced casting texture on the hull and turret
- New parts characteristic of the late production version
- High quality of running gear details
Sherman M4A1 Late vehicles were powered by the Continental R 975 C4 engine with 400 HP. Although originally designed as infantry support, thanks to numerous modernizations and mass production, they became a symbol of the Allies' technical and logistical victory. After the war, many units served in armies around the world, taking part in conflicts such as the Six-Day War or the Indo-Pakistani Wars.

To assemble, you will need separately sold modeling tools (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
