Plastic model aircraft kit: Siebel 204 D/E 1:72 Smer 0935
The Siebel Si 204 was a German, twin-engine, multi-role aircraft of semi-monocoque, all-metal, low-wing design. This machine played an important role in training Luftwaffe crews and in transport during World War II and the post-war period.
History and design:
The prototype Siebel Si-204V1 made its first flight on May 23, 1941. The aircraft initially entered production as the A-1 passenger version, but it was the D variant that became the most recognizable due to its fully glazed nose. It was powered by two Argus As 411 engines with a takeoff power of 580 hp. These aircraft were used extensively in flight schools for instrument flight training, navigation, and as flying classrooms for radio operators. After the war, production continued in Czechoslovakia (as the Aero C-3) and in France (as the Nord NC-701 Martinet).
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, you will need separately sold modeling tools (e.g., nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
