Plastic model kit: Soviet infantry (winter uniforms 1941-1942) 1:72 Zvezda 6197
A set of figures depicting Soviet infantry soldiers in winter uniforms from the 1941-1942 period. The models were developed in 1:72 scale and are part of the Art of Tactic strategic game system, but they will also work perfectly as standalone elements for historical dioramas.
The Soviet Army was well-prepared for the winter conditions of the turn of 1941 and 1942. Soldiers were equipped with warm clothing, including sheepskin coats, felt boots (valenki), and white camouflage suits (maskhalats), which gave them a significant operational advantage over German troops during the Battle of Moscow. Experience in conducting operations in a harsh climate allowed for the effective repulsion of the "Typhoon" offensive.
Set characteristics:- Scale: 1:72
- Number of figures: 5 unpainted characters
- Assembly system: Snap-fit (assembly without glue)
- Additional elements: unit base with a flag for the Art of Tactic game
In the Art of Tactic game, this unit represents a Soviet infantry company. It is characterized by a low point cost (10 points), which makes it a solid choice for filling the front line, although its weakness is its relatively short range of fire against the enemy.
Model kit for self-assembly. Does not include paints or tools. Does not require glue for assembly.
To assemble, you will need, for example, a knife or nippers - to cut the plastic parts from the frames. Additional modeling tools (e.g., files or tweezers) and paints will also be useful (but are not required).
