The Su-25, developed at the Sukhoi design bureau in the 1970s, is a Soviet jet attack aircraft that received the NATO reporting name Frogfoot, and earned the nickname Grach (Rook) among Russian pilots. It is a machine designed for close air support of ground forces on the battlefield, destruction of point targets, and fire support in all weather conditions.

The design of the Su-25 places great emphasis on battlefield survivability. The aircraft features an armored pilot cabin (the so-called titanium bathtub), redundant control systems, and a reinforced airframe structure, which allows it to survive hits from anti-aircraft missiles. The machine made its combat debut during the war in Afghanistan, where it proved its extraordinary resilience and effectiveness. To this day, the Su-25 remains in service with over 20 countries around the world, being one of the most important attack aircraft in the history of aviation.
