Description
Plastic model aircraft for assembly: Spitfire Mk VII 1:48 ICM 48062
The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the most recognizable and legendary fighters of World War II. The British design, developed by R.J. Mitchell, became a symbol of the RAF's resistance and victory, serving on almost all fronts of the global conflict – from Europe, through North Africa, to the Far East.
The Mk VII version was developed to intercept enemy aircraft at high altitudes. Production of this modification began in August 1942. Characteristic features of the Spitfire Mk VII were the pressurized cockpit and wings with extended, sharply pointed tips, which allowed for better flight performance in the thin atmosphere. The aircraft was powered by the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger.
The ICM model in 1:48 scale faithfully reproduces the silhouette of this high-altitude fighter. The set is characterized by precise execution of surface details and cockpit interior.
