Plastic military model kit: StuH 42 & StuG III Ausf.G Early Production 1:35 Takom 8009

An advanced 2-in-1 model kit allowing the construction of one of two versions of the German armored artillery from World War II: Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH 42) or Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) Ausf.G in early production version. The model comes from the Blitz series, characterized by high detail quality with an optimized number of parts.

Historical background:

The StuG III Ausf. G was the final and most widely produced version of the Sturmgeschütz III family, manufactured from December 1942 to March 1945. The main innovation was a new superstructure with sloped side armor and a commander's cupola equipped with periscopes. The StuH 42 (Sturmhaubitze 42) is an infantry support variant in which the standard 7.5 cm gun was replaced with a 10.5 cm leFH 18 howitzer. These vehicles served on all fronts of the war, from Normandy to Kursk, demonstrating extraordinary effectiveness in destroying enemy armored units and supporting grenadiers.
