History of the model: The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter that played a crucial role in RAF operations during World War II. Designed by R.J. Mitchell, the Spitfire was distinguished by its characteristic elliptical wing and high performance, making it one of the best fighters of its time. It was produced continuously throughout the war and used in various theaters of war, from Europe to Southeast Asia.

One of the most extraordinary episodes in the history of Spitfires was the missions delivering beer to British soldiers after the landing in Normandy in 1944. As part of the unofficial "Operation Cheers," pilots modified their aircraft to carry beer barrels under the wings, aimed at boosting the morale of fighting soldiers. Although these missions were not officially recorded, they became legendary and a symbol of the British fighting spirit.

Additional information: This model is part of a special edition created in collaboration with CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), an organization promoting British brewing. It is an excellent way to commemorate a unique piece of history that connects aviation and beer culture.
