Historical features of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc: The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc is one of the most well-known and produced versions of this legendary fighter. Equipped with a Rolls Royce Merlin 45 engine, the Spitfire Mk.Vc was the response to the latest Luftwaffe fighters. With increased power and a series of design improvements, it became one of the most effective RAF aircraft during World War II. The production of this model took place in the new Castle Bromwich factory, allowing for mass production, reaching nearly 6500 units.
The Spitfire Mk.Vc participated in military operations on all fronts where the Allies fought. It was used both in the defense of British territory and in campaigns in North Africa and the Far East. Its versatility and effectiveness in combat made it one of the most important fighter aircraft of that period.
