History of Suzuki Jimny: Suzuki Jimny is a series of mini SUVs with four-wheel drive, produced by the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki since 1970. Initially belonging to the kei class, Jimny has become a symbol of reliability and versatility in challenging terrain. By September 2018, 2.85 million units of Jimny had been sold in 194 countries.

The history of Suzuki's off-road vehicles began in the 1960s when the company purchased the Steyr-Puch Haflinger to create its own kei class off-road vehicle. In 1968, Suzuki acquired the defunct Hope Motor Company, which introduced the small off-road vehicle HopeStar ON360. The first Suzuki model with four-wheel drive, the LJ10, was introduced in 1970.

The JA11 model, which is the basis for this kit, was introduced in 1990 in response to new kei category regulations. Equipped with a F6A engine with a displacement of 657 cm3 and an intercooler, it offered a power output of 55 PS, which increased to 58 PS in 1991. In 1995, the power was increased to 64 PS, and production of the JA11 ended the same year with the introduction of the JA12/22 models.
