Description
Plastic model car to assemble: Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX in 1:24 scale
In May 1983, the AE86 generation of the Toyota Sprinter Trueno debuted, featuring a FR layout at a time when the FF layout was becoming the standard in the automotive industry.
The 2T-G engine used in its predecessor was replaced by the newly developed 4A-G, and both variants - Levin and Trueno - were offered with a 2-door coupe body or a 3-door liftback. The AE86 in the 4A-G version (a.k.a. "Hachi Roku", which means "Eighty-six" in Japanese) remains very popular among car enthusiasts to this day.
- This model kit includes working pop-up headlights and spring suspension.
- The taillights and turn signals are made of transparent red and orange plastic.
- The set also includes masking stickers for window trims for painting.
Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints, tools, or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
