History of the Toyota Starlet:
The Toyota Starlet is a subcompact car produced by Toyota from 1973 to 1999. The EP71 model, which is the subject of this kit, was part of the third generation of Starlets, produced from 1986 to 1989. It was the first subcompact car from the Japanese manufacturer to offer a high-performance variant, making it unique in the market. The Starlet EP71 was available in a Turbo S version, attracting automotive enthusiasts looking for sporty performance in a compact package.
The Starlet was exported to North America from 1981 to 1984, and its popularity in various markets contributed to its cult status. In 1999, the model was replaced by the Toyota Vitz, known in some markets as the Echo or Yaris. Despite the end of production, the Starlet remains in the memory of many as a symbol of innovation and style of the 80s.
