Historical background:
G7107 Truck: The G506 series trucks, to which the G7107 model belongs, were produced by Chevrolet Motor Division as standard 1.5-ton 4x4 trucks for the United States Army and Army Air Corps during World War II. A total of 167,373 such trucks were produced, most of which were supplied by Chevrolet. These trucks were crucial for military logistics, and about 47,700 of them were sent to the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program, significantly improving the transport capabilities of the Red Army in 1943.
Ben Hur Trailer: The "Ben Hur" trailer was one of the most commonly produced military trailer models during World War II. It was designed to carry loads of up to 1 ton and was compatible with vehicles with a payload capacity of 3/4 ton and above, including G506 series trucks. This trailer was produced by many companies, but its name comes from the main manufacturer, Ben–Hur Mfg. Co. A total of 259,064 units of this model were produced, making it one of the most widely used by the Allies.
