Type 45 destroyers are the most modern escort vessels of the Royal Navy, designed for air defense of naval task groups. They feature an innovative silhouette with clean lines and a smooth superstructure, significantly reducing their radar signature - according to reports, the radar echo of the ship is comparable to that of a small fishing boat.
