Type 89 Kou (Late)
The Type 89 is a medium tank used by the Imperial Japanese Army from 1932 to 1942. It participated in combat operations during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Battle of Khalkhin Gol against the Soviet Union, and in World War II. It was the world's first mass-produced tank with a diesel engine. It was equipped with a short-barreled 57 mm gun, which was effective in destroying bunkers and fortifications. The tank took part in campaigns in Manchuria and China, where the enemy had a limited number of tanks, mainly export models of Vickers, German Panzer I, and Italian CV33 tankettes.
Type 95 Ha-Go
The Type 95 Ha-Go is a light tank used by Japan during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Battle of Khalkhin Gol, and in World War II. It was the most widely produced Japanese armored vehicle during the war, with about 2300 units produced. It was designed to reach a speed of 40 km/h, allowing it to cooperate with mechanized infantry. Production began in 1936 at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries factories, and mass production started in 1938. Several companies participated in production, including Niigata Tekkoshō and Sagami Arsenal. Although effective against infantry, it was not effective in engagements with other tanks. Despite infantry concerns about its thin armor, the tank gained acceptance due to its speed and armament.
Assembly and painting kit. It does not include paints or glue. To assemble, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
