The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is an American medium multi-role utility helicopter that has become an icon of modern military aviation. The machine entered service with the United States Army in 1979 as the successor to the legendary UH-1 Huey. The UH-60A version was the first production variant, designed for high survivability in the combat zone, ease of transport, and operational versatility. The Black Hawk's design is based on the classic layout with a four-bladed main rotor and a tail rotor, and it is powered by two General Electric T700 turboshaft engines.

This helicopter serves as the basic platform for many specialized versions, including transport, medical (MEDEVAC), electronic warfare, and special operations. Thanks to its modular design, the Black Hawk can be quickly reconfigured by mounting additional armament, such as machine guns in the side windows, or changing the configuration of the cargo cabin equipment. To date, about 5000 units have been produced, serving in the armies of over 30 countries worldwide.
