Description
US Navy and USMC "high-viz" paint set 6x17ml Hataka HTK-BS18
A set of Blue Line acrylic paints, specially optimized for brush application, containing standard colors used on US Navy and USMC aircraft from the 1950s to the 1970s.
In the post-war period, the camouflage schemes of American naval aviation evolved from the uniform dark blue camouflage of the end of World War II, through the characteristic two-tone Light Gull Grey and Insignia White paint schemes, to the bright "high-viz" elements used on training and rescue (SAR) machines.
The set contains 6 bottles of 17ml each:
- HTK-B001 Dark Sea Blue (ANA 623) - Standard overall color for carrier-based aircraft (e.g., AD-1..4, AF-2, F9F Panther/Cougar, F2H, F7F) used from late 1944 to 1955.
- HTK-B049 Insignia White (ANA 511) - Color of the undersurfaces of strike aircraft from 1955 to the late 1970s (e.g., F-4, A-6, A-7, F-14, RA-5, S-3A, A-4 and F-8).
- HTK-B048 Light Gull Grey (ANA 620) - Color of the upper surfaces of attack aircraft from 1955 to the late 1970s.
- HTK-B061 Seaplane Grey (ANA 625) - Standard color for US Navy helicopters from 1955 to the late 1970s (except SH-3) and land-based naval aircraft.
- HTK-B062 International Orange (ANA 508) - Color of early jet trainers and high-visibility elements in "high-viz" schemes.
- HTK-B041 Night Black (FS37038) - Used, among others, on anti-glare panels in front of the cockpit.
