Plastic figure to assemble and paint: U.S. Tank Riders Winter 1944-45 1:35 MiniArt 53045
This set of plastic figures from MiniArt depicts American infantry soldiers (known as tank riders) from the winter campaign of 1944–45. These formations were a characteristic sight on the European theater of war, where infantry often moved using the armor of tanks and other armored vehicles as a means of transport between positions.
The figures are designed in natural, resting poses that perfectly complement tank models, creating realistic scenes from the Western Front. The soldiers are equipped with winter uniforms and gear typical of the period.
Main features of the set:- The set includes 4 soldier figures in winter uniforms.
- Detailed reproduction of uniforms, equipment, and personal weapons.
- Natural poses adapted for placing figures on armored vehicles.
Historical background:
The American infantry division since 1943 was a formation of high mobility and firepower. Each division consisted of about 14,200 soldiers and was characterized by full motorization of transport means and strong artillery support. In the winter conditions of late 1944 and early 1945, including during the Battle of the Bulge, American soldiers had to face extreme weather conditions, which necessitated the use of specialized protective clothing, such as coats and insulated jackets, which have been faithfully represented in this model.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (e.g. cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
