Description
USAF Paint Set ("European" Camouflage) 6x17ml Hataka CS10
Acrylic paint set from the Orange Line series (Lacquer Based), designed for painting aircraft of the United States Air Force (USAF) in the "European" camouflage scheme used in the 1980s.
In 1978, the USAF introduced the European camouflage scheme for Tactical Air Command (TAC) aircraft. It consisted of colors FS34079 or FS34092 (depending on the type of aircraft), FS34102, and FS36118 (later replaced by FS36081). The Military Airlift Command (MAC) adapted the colors FS34102, FS34092, and FS36118, while USAF helicopters received a wrap-around version of the MAC camouflage. A specific mutation of this scheme, using colors FS34086, FS36081, and FS36118, was used on B-1B and FB-111A bombers belonging to the Strategic Air Command (SAC).
The set includes 6 bottles of 17ml each:- HTK-C016 Dark Green (FS34079) - used in European schemes on F-4 and A-7D aircraft of the US ANG units.
- HTK-C056 European I Green (FS34092) - used on TAC aircraft (A-10, OV-10, F-16), MAC (C-130, C-141, C-5), and USAF helicopters.
- HTK-C021 Medium Green (FS34102) - standard color for TAC aircraft (A-10, OV-10, F-4, F-16), MAC (C-130, C-141, C-5), and helicopters.
- HTK-C030 European I Grey (FS36081) - used on TAC aircraft (A-10, OV-10, F-4, F-16), SAC (B-1B, FB-111A), and A-7D.
- HTK-C031 Gunship Grey (FS36118) - used on MAC, SAC aircraft, and helicopters. Present in early "euro" schemes for A-10 and F-4.
- HTK-C052 Green Drab (FS34086) - used in the European camouflage variant for strategic bombers B-1B and FB-111A.
