Description

Vallejo Pigments 73.101 Titanium White is a finely ground, dry modeling pigment intended for creating realistic effects of dirt and deposits on models and dioramas. The white shade is suitable for simulating ash, lime, snow, and light, dusty deposits, and thanks to its very fine fraction, it spreads easily and mixes with other pigments.

The pigment can be applied directly to the model's surface in a dry state, gradually adjusting the intensity of the effect, layer by layer. If necessary, it can also be fixed with an appropriate preparation (e.g., thinner or binder) to achieve a more permanent deposit or build a more varied texture.

When working dry, it is best to use a soft brush and work the pigment into recesses, joint areas, wheel/undercarriage areas, or places where dust naturally settles. For a subtle effect, it is worth gently shaking or blowing off the excess, and then refining the transitions with a clean brush.

If you want greater resistance to touch, the pigment can be fixed with a dedicated binding agent. Fixing changes the optics of the deposit (usually darkening it), so it is recommended to work in stages and check the effect after drying. Vallejo pigments are also eagerly used to create varied traces of wear, aging, and the influence of weather conditions on vehicles, buildings, and infrastructure elements.
