Description
Plastic model kit of an aircraft: VF-31A Kairos Macross Delta 1:72 Hasegawa 65838
A plastic model depicting the VF-31A Kairos fighter, a mass-produced machine from the Macross Delta universe. Unlike the Siegfried test variants, the A version is characterized by the use of delta wings, which significantly affects its silhouette and flight characteristics. These machines form the core of the Chaos forces, operating from the carrier Hemera connected to the right arm of the Macross Elysion.
The Hasegawa kit, catalog number 65838, is an edition enriched with new plastic elements that allow for a faithful reproduction of the specific features of the Kairos variant. The model has been developed in 1:72 scale and features precise surface detailing and cockpit interior.
Kit characteristics:
- New plastic parts: outer wing sections, canards, nose sensors, and the A variant head.
- Special fuselage panel with installed Fold Carbon instead of Fold Quartz.
- High-quality decals allowing for the creation of markings for Alpha, Beta, or Gamma squadrons.
- Box illustration by the acclaimed artist Hidetaka Tenjin.
- Possibility to display the model in flight using a dedicated Macross Stand (sold separately).
The VF-31A Kairos is a design derived from the YF-30 Chronos prototype. In the production version, advanced Fold Dimension systems were abandoned in favor of stability and ease of operation by line pilots. Delta-type wings provide greater lift area and stability at high speeds, making it an effective interceptor fighter in clashes with the Wind Kingdom forces.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are required (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
