Plastic military model kit: VK45.02(H) Draft Blueprint w1461 1:35 Takom 2191
The VK45.02(H) Draft Blueprint w1461 model kit in 1:35 scale from the renowned manufacturer Takom is an excellent choice for model enthusiasts and military history buffs. This model kit depicts a German heavy tank from World War II, which was one of the prototypes developed under a program aimed at creating a new, powerful tank for the Wehrmacht.
Model features:
- Scale: 1:35
- Manufacturer: Takom
The VK45.02(H) model is a faithful representation of one of the tank designs intended to replace or supplement the Tiger I tanks in service. This project, developed by Ferdinand Porsche, focused on maximum armor protection and effective weaponry for combating enemy vehicles. In reality, two variants of this tank were created: one with a centrally mounted turret (Ausf. A) and one with a turret at the rear of the hull (Ausf. B). Unfortunately, this project lost the competition to the proposal from Henschel, mainly due to reliability issues and anticipated higher production costs.
Historical data:
- Engine: Two Porsche 101 engines with a power output of 670 HP
- Armament: KwK 36 L/56 88 mm gun and two MG34 machine guns in 7.92 mm caliber
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
