Vehicles in the set:

  1. Panhard AMD 178 (Panzerspahwagen P 204(f)) - A French armored car that was incorporated into the Wehrmacht after Germany occupied France. It was one of the best armored cars used during World War II, characterized by good mobility and armament.

  2. Sd.Kfz. 247 Ausf. B - A German armored car mainly used for reconnaissance tasks. It was lightly armored and unarmed, making it a fast and agile vehicle ideal for scouting missions.

  3. Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. A - A half-track armored personnel carrier that became one of the most recognizable vehicles of the Wehrmacht. Its versatility allowed for the transport of soldiers and the mounting of various weapons and equipment.

Historical background: After the signing of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, Germany was prohibited from possessing armored vehicles. However, the Boulogne Protocol allowed the Weimar Republic to have a limited number of armored transport and police vehicles. After Hitler came to power, Germany began preparations for a war that, according to German plans, was to be conducted quickly and with great mobility of military units. This required a large number of various vehicles, both ordinary trucks and armored vehicles. The mass production of armored cars in Germany resumed in 1934, and by 1936 they became standard equipment for reconnaissance units.

At the beginning of hostilities, the fleet of armored vehicles was supplemented with captured vehicles, including one of the best armored cars of World War II, the Panhard 178. The German army also widely used half-track armored personnel carriers, which, due to their versatility, could be used for both personnel transport and the mounting of various types of weapons or equipment.

Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
