Plastic model helicopter for assembly: Westland Sea King HC.4 1:48 Airfix 11008 Westland Sea King HC.4 is a specialized variant of the legendary helicopter, used by the British Royal Navy as a transport aircraft for Commando units and for resupply missions. Developed as a successor to the Wessex HU.5 helicopters, the Sea King HC.4 (affectionately known as the “Junglie”) became a symbol of reliability in the most demanding operational conditions. Over 36 years of service, it took part in numerous conflicts worldwide, from the Falklands War, through Bosnia and Iraq, to operations in Afghanistan. The airframe ZA298, nicknamed the “King of the Junglies,” which served for over three decades, gained particular fame. The Airfix model in 1:48 scale is a modern kit based on 2023 molds, enhanced with new elements characteristic of the HC.4 version. The construction offers a high level of detail and numerous configuration options, allowing for the creation of an authentic replica of this famous helicopter. Main features of the model:

Possibility to build the main rotor and tail in the folded position (hangaring configuration).
Landing gear without sponsons, specific to the HC.4 variant.
Updated interior with an extended cabin and additional troop seats.
Optional open or closed cockpit doors.
GPMG machine gun mount included.
Detailed cockpit reproduction and additional antennas and countermeasures systems.
The set contains 289 parts for precise assembly.
