Description
Wooden deck for battleship Mikasa 1:700 Hasegawa 72160
An enhancement set in the form of a wooden deck designed for the 1:700 scale model of the Japanese battleship Mikasa. The product was designed by Hasegawa as a dedicated accessory for the model with catalog number 151 (Kit No.151), which guarantees a precise fit with the plastic parts.
The use of natural wood allows for a realistic deck appearance that is difficult to achieve by painting alone. The thin layer of material has a laser-etched plank pattern and cutouts for all superstructure and deck equipment elements.
Product characteristics:- Scale: 1:700
- Material: Natural wood
- Compatibility: Battleship Mikasa (Hasegawa Kit No.151)
- Self-adhesive layer for easy assembly
Historical background:
Mikasa is a Japanese pre-dreadnought battleship that served as Admiral Heihachirō Tōgō's flagship during the Russo-Japanese War, including the famous Battle of Tsushima in 1905. Built in the British Vickers shipyard, it was one of the most powerful warships of its time. Today, Mikasa serves as a museum ship in Yokosuka and is the only surviving example of a pre-dreadnought battleship in the world.
Assembly instructions:
- Prepare the surface of the plastic deck of the Mikasa model.
- Carefully separate the wooden elements from the sheet (a modeling knife can be used for assistance).
- Remove the protective film from the adhesive layer on the back of the element.
- Slowly and precisely glue the wooden deck onto the plastic parts of the model during their assembly.
