WW2 Soviet AFV paint set Hataka BS95
Standard colors of Soviet military vehicles during World War II
It is commonly believed that all Soviet military vehicles from the World War II era were painted in a solid olive-green color. In reality, the Red Army experimented with the camouflage of its vehicles from the mid-1930s, leading to the issuance of the first instructions as early as 1939 (introducing a complex system of four geographical theaters with their own camouflage patterns/colors).
However, by 1941, only three colors were available - 4BO Green, 6K Dark Brown, and 7K Sand - and their use in proportions of 45-55%, 15-30%, and 15-30% was ultimately approved by the end of 1941.
Due to wartime economic constraints, by 1943 most equipment was still finished in one of the greens (4BO, ZK, or ZO). It was only in 1944-45 that three-color camouflage became widespread.
Set of 6 paints with a capacity of 17ml.
