Vehicle history:

The Bedford QL is a series of trucks produced by Bedford for the British armed forces during World War II. At the beginning of the war, in 1940, Bedford received a contract from the British Ministry of War to produce a 3-ton 4x4 truck. The first prototype model was ready as early as February 1940, and mass production began in March 1941. Production continued until 1945, and the QL series was the first series of Bedford vehicles designed specifically for the military.

The Bedford QL played a key role in wartime logistics, being one of the most commonly used vehicles by the British armed forces. Over 50,000 units of these trucks were produced, which were used for various tasks, including transporting soldiers, supplies, and communication. Their reliability, versatility, and availability in large quantities were crucial to the success of military operations.
