The Yamaha RZ250, also known as the 4L3 model, is a motorcycle that debuted in August 1980 as a successor to the RD series. It was a model intended for the Japanese market, equipped with a 250cc two-stroke engine, which at that time was one of the last sport models with such a drive.

The Yamaha RZ250 was known for its excellent performance, allowing it to compete with larger, four-stroke motorcycles with a displacement of 400cc, earning it the nickname "400 killer."
