Model specifications:
- Scale: 1:35

History and use of the L3/33 tankette:
The Carro Veloce 33 (CV 33), also known as L3/33, was developed in 1933 based on the British Carden Loyd tankette, which the Italians produced under license as CV 29. The CV 33 was one of the basic armored vehicles of the Italian army in the 1930s and was used until the early 1940s. In 1935, many of these vehicles were upgraded to the CV 35 standard, and in 1938 they were renamed L3/33 and L3/35.
The L3/33 tankette was manned by a two-person crew, protected by 12 mm welded armor, and armed with a single 6.5 mm machine gun. Despite its small size and limited armament, these tankettes were widely used in various armed conflicts involving fascist Italy.
Participation in armed conflicts:
The L3/33 tankettes participated in many military campaigns, including:
- Second Italo-Ethiopian War (1935-1936)
- Italian intervention during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)
- Occupation of Albania (1939)
- War with France (1940)
- Aggression against Greece and Yugoslavia (1940-1941)
- Fighting in North Africa (from 1940)
Despite their speed and small size, the L3/33 tankettes proved to be outdated in the face of better-armored and armed tanks that began to dominate the battlefields. Nevertheless, they were used until 1943, both by Axis forces and on the side of the Allies in two Italian armored units equipped with flame-thrower versions.
