The plastic model kit represents the Polish half-track artillery tractor C4P from the pre-World War II period. It is a faithful miniature of one of the most important vehicles used by the Polish Army in the 1930s.

Vehicle history:

The C4P half-track tractor was the Polish derivative version of the 2.5-ton truck Polski FIAT-621, produced under Italian license since 1932. Designed at the Technical Research Bureau for Armored Weapons in Warsaw in 1934, the chief designer was engineer E. Habich. This vehicle utilized numerous parts from the truck, including a shortened and reinforced chassis, engine, and modified driver's cabin. The most significant change was the replacement of the rear axle with a tracked mechanism, which allowed for better mobility in difficult terrain.

A series of prototype vehicles was created in 1935, and mass production lasted until 1938 at the PZInż factories in Czechowice. By the outbreak of the war, approximately 400 vehicles had been built in several versions, including at least 80 C4P artillery tractors. These tractors were used to tow 120 mm and 105 mm guns, as well as 75 mm field guns and 100 mm howitzers.

The C4P tractors were introduced into service from the end of 1936. They were used in the 1st Motorized Artillery Regiment and in anti-aircraft artillery. During the mobilization in 1939, these tractors participated in the September campaign, supporting various artillery units.
