Information about the E-2 Hawkeye: The Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American early warning aircraft capable of operating in all weather conditions, designed to operate from aircraft carriers. This aircraft, powered by two turboprop engines, was developed in the 1950s and 1960s by Grumman Aircraft Company as a successor to the outdated E-1 Tracer. The E-2 Hawkeye was the first aircraft specifically designed for early warning missions, and its various versions have been produced continuously since 1960, making it the longest-produced carrier-based aircraft.

Operational history: The E-2 Hawkeye has played a key role in military operations worldwide, starting from the Vietnam War, where it served as the electronic "eyes of the fleet." In the 1980s, these aircraft were involved in operations such as El Dorado Canyon, as well as during the Gulf War.
