The Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American close air support aircraft. The first flight of the aircraft took place on May 10, 1972, and production lasted from 1975 to 1984, with a total of 715 units produced. The aircraft has good maneuverability at low speeds and low altitudes. The propeller design allows for short takeoff and landing (STOL), enabling it to operate even from field airstrips.
