Plastic model kit depicting the German amphibious vehicle Schwimmwagen Type 166 in the Wide Wheel Version. The Schwimmwagen was one of the most successful amphibious designs of World War II, valued by German soldiers for its excellent off-road capabilities and ability to overcome water obstacles. The vehicle had four-wheel drive and an 1130 cc engine, which allowed it to reach a speed of 80 km/h on land and 10 km/h in water.

The Tamiya kit in 1:35 scale accurately reproduces the characteristic tub-like hull construction and the unique equipment of the version with 200 mm wide tires, which improved mobility in difficult, muddy terrain.
