The F-35 Lightning II is an American fifth-generation multirole fighter jet, built under the Joint Strike Fighter program.
The A version takes off and lands conventionally (CTOL) and is set to replace the F-16 and A-10 aircraft in the USAF.
The first flight of the F-35 took place on December 15, 2006, its maximum speed is 1.8Ma (about 2250km/h) and the range of the F-35A is 2222km.
Model details
- Plastic model to assemble and paint in 1/48 scale
- Length approx. 326mm, width approx. 222mm
- The model was created based on detailed research to accurately replicate the real fighter jet
- Can be assembled in 3 "versions" - stealth, air-to-air combat, and "Beast" (with full armament)
- Can be painted as either an early version (light gray color around the edges of the panels) or a later version (mostly dark gray color)
- The aircraft flaps can be assembled in both open and closed versions. In the open version, many details will be available inside
- The cockpit canopy can be opened and closed after assembly
- The model includes a pilot figure with an HMD (Helmet Mounted Display) system and an ejection seat (catapult)
- The cockpit is reflected with great attention to detail
- The set includes documentation for the most accurate reproduction of the aircraft markings
- The set includes models of air-to-air missiles AIM-9X, AIM-120C, and bombs GBU-12, GBU-31, and JDAM.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
