Description

Plastic military model kit: M3 Grant 1:35 Takom 2086 Plastic model depicting the British M3 Grant medium tank in 1:35 scale. The M3 Lee/Grant was an American design from World War II, created as a transitional solution before the introduction of the M4 Sherman tank. The British version, named Grant, was characterized by a modified turret that eliminated the commander's cupola, which slightly lowered the vehicle's high silhouette. The vehicle was distinguished by an unusual armament layout: a 75 mm gun placed in a sponson on the right side of the hull and a 37 mm gun in a rotating turret. Although this design had its drawbacks, such as a limited firing arc for the main gun and a high profile, it played a key role during the fighting in North Africa in 1942, where its armor and firepower allowed the British to effectively combat the German Pz.Kpfw III and IV tanks. Set characteristics:
  • Precisely reproduced details of the hull and turret in the Grant version.
  • Photo-etched (PE) parts to enhance detail realism.
  • Decals.
  • Movable tracks and detailed suspension.
Model kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. Assembly requires separately sold modeling tools (including sprue cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model cement (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
