Description

Plastic military model kit: M3 Grant 1:35 Takom 2086 Plastic model depicting the British M3 Grant medium tank in 1:35 scale. The M3 Lee/Grant was an American design from World War II, created as a transitional solution before the introduction of the M4 Sherman tank. The British version, named Grant, was characterized by a modified turret that eliminated the commander's cupola, which slightly lowered the vehicle's high silhouette. The vehicle was distinguished by an unusual armament layout: a 75 mm gun placed in a sponson on the right side of the hull and a 37 mm gun in a rotating turret. Although this design had its drawbacks, such as a limited firing arc for the main gun and a high profile, it played a key role during the fighting in North Africa in 1942, where its armor and firepower allowed the British to effectively combat the German Pz.Kpfw III and IV tanks.
