In reality, only the first place matters, no one cares about the second. The winner receives all the glory. What wins on Sunday sells on Monday - this mantra has long been known in the automotive world. In the early 90s, you bought a GTR because it never lost.

In the 90s, the Nissan GT-R R32 was unstoppable. It was so powerful that in all the races it participated in - it immediately dominated. Nissan created a monster.

However, this story began around 1984. Nissan, as a manufacturer, was struggling with poor car sales and weak motorsport results. The Z series was already becoming boring. The Skyline series had not been worthy of the GT-R badge for a decade. The oil crisis of the 70s changed Nissan's face, but it was not a change for the better. In 1985, Yutaka Kume took over as president and breathed new life into the company. He fought against the bureaucracy that prevailed at Nissan, urged even higher-level employees to "get out to the people," and ended the era of dull boxy cars. He led the company with the slogan "spirit of hunger." Other companies at that time took different paths - cutting production costs, introducing "mass" models, and giving up larger expenses - such as participating in car races. Kume, on the other hand, wanted to raise Nissan's reputation on the world stage, and there was no better way to do that than by winning races. This led to the creation of the 901 Movement at Nissan, aimed at creating the best cars in the world for the 90s. During the design phases of the 901 movement, the Nissan MID4 was developed (along with its second revision), featuring all-wheel drive and a mid-mounted engine, but it never left the conceptual phase; however, thanks to it, Nissan developed its new 4WD system.

With a ready all-wheel drive system that evolved into the ATTESA ET-S system, which primarily powered the rear wheels and electronically engaged the front drive - all based on advanced electronics that took into account, among other things, current overload, current rear wheel traction, and speed sensors for each wheel. Nissan also developed a new engine - a 6-cylinder inline engine (now known as RB26) and equipped it with two turbos. Factory output was up to 320HP, with racing versions reaching even 600-800HP. Additionally, an aerodynamic body with aluminum elements and a rather spartan interior - all aimed at weight reduction.

The manufacturer could not predict how this combination would ultimately perform in the racing world. In 1990, the first GT-R R32 appeared on the starting line in Japan. Opponents admired the four rear lights of the car, and for several years that was all they could admire. Over the years, in every race, the Nissan GT-R crossed the finish line first. Usually, not only the first place was taken by this car, but the entire podium was secured. In 1989, the Nurburgring lap record was set - 8 minutes and 22 seconds.

The Nissan GT-R R32 was the fastest production car throughout its availability for sale.

The name Godzilla was given after a series of victories and dominance in races in Australia, where the local press dubbed it that way.

Currently, it is mainly the RB26 engine that receives all the glory, but it was the modern ATTESA system that made the GT-R R32 great.

• The inline 6 twin-turbo engine, which can be seen under the hood, has also been accurately recreated.
• The model also allows you to familiarize yourself with the all-wheel drive mechanism and multi-link suspension used in the real car.

Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
