Plastic military model kit: German armored vehicle Sd.Kfz.222 in 1:48 scale
In the mid-phase of World War II, German armored divisions frequently used the four-wheeled armored car Sd.Kfz.222 for reconnaissance and scouting missions. The Sd.Kfz.222 featured a sloped hull and a turret with a grenade net over an open roof, armed with a 20 mm automatic cannon and a MG34 machine gun.
Its independent suspension worked with an 80 HP Horsch V8 gasoline engine, liquid-cooled, which achieved a maximum speed of 80 km/h on the road. Production of these vehicles began in 1936. A total of 990 units were produced, with the last one leaving the factory and entering service in 1943. This vehicle participated in battles from Europe to Russia, as well as on the North African front.
