Plastic model car to assemble: Subaru Impreza WRX STi in 1:24 scale

There is no better way to test a car's durability than to participate in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Subaru understood this when it first entered the WRC in 1990. In 1992, the Legacy model was replaced by the more compact Impreza, which utilized technology proven over two years.

This sporty sedan gained immense popularity among customers looking for a street car with the character of a WRC competitor. In August 2000, the second generation of the Impreza was born. One of the specially tuned versions of this car was the Impreza WRX STi (Subaru Tecnica International).

Its 2-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine featured a reinforced cylinder block, molybdenum-coated steel pistons, a large-capacity turbo, and an intercooler. The power of the STi model was increased to 280 HP. This power was effectively transmitted to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, also developed by the STi team. The suspension featured special dampers, ensuring a smooth ride in all road conditions. The flared fenders and enlarged air intake on the hood give the Impreza WRX STi an impressive appearance.
