"Over the years, everything evolves and becomes better." This principle also applies to scale modeling, where one of the oldest and most commonly used techniques, rust, has been refined and updated. And if there is a technique where AMMO has always been a reference point, it is here, recreating rust. 13 years ago, AMMO launched The Weathering Magazine, focusing on techniques aimed at making modeling more accessible and easier for all modelers. The first issue, dedicated to rust, was a huge success that has lasted all these years.
But as we said at the very beginning, everything wears out, and in the case of The Weathering Magazine, this wear is also noticeable. And since at AMMO our only obsession is to give modelers what they ask for, we took on the challenge and prepared a new formula for the magazine, more technical and detailed. More defined and educational, with more specific and specialized topics.
And there is no better way to conclude this than to say goodbye to the edition dedicated to rust in version 2.0. A small tribute to the first edition, where we showcase various and updated techniques for recreating rust and corrosion effects in a more efficient and faster way. As one might expect from TWA, we will address various modeling genres to practice and have fun with these techniques using favorite items.
All painting and weathering techniques presented in this edition of The Weathering Magazine dedicated to rust effects are explained in detail step by step, and each one shows how to perform each technique illustrated with high-quality photos and concise descriptions from the best modelers in the world. This latest issue of TWM will surely become a favorite among collectors, each page filled with useful techniques, and each article is a source of knowledge full of inspiration for all genres and levels of modelers.
