Plastic model car kit: Toyota Supra MK4 in 1:24 scale

The iconic sports car - Toyota Supra, generation 4 in the form of a plastic model kit by Tamiya.

The car is beautifully detailed - from the stylish rear spoiler to the R6 twin turbo engine under the opening hood.
The underside of the car is very detailed, as well as the suspension and interior.
The tires have a realistic tread pattern.
The model can be assembled as either LHD or RHD (with the steering wheel on the left or right side)

The A80 program (the fourth generation of the Supra) began in February 1989 under various teams focused on design, product planning, and engineering led by Isao Tsuzuki. By mid-1990, the final design concept for the A80 developed by Toyota's Technical Center in Aichi was approved and frozen for production by the end of 1990. The first test units were hand-built using the A70 body in late 1990, and then the first A80 prototypes were hand-assembled in 1991. The platform, suspension, and powertrain from the Z30 Soarer model (Lexus SC300/400) were reused. Pre-production testing models began in December 1992 with the production of 20 units, and official mass production started in April/May 1993. The fourth generation Supra again shared its platform with the exclusive Soarer coupe, sold in the USA as the Lexus SC. Although both cars looked similar in dimensions, the new Supra was over 13 inches (340 mm) shorter than its luxury cousin.
