Late US Navy Paint Set 6x17ml Hataka BS05.2

Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing the standard camouflage colors of the United States Navy aircraft used from 1943 to 1945.

In the middle of World War II, the US Navy introduced one of the most distinctive paint schemes - a three-color camouflage. It consisted of the colors Semi-Gloss Sea Blue, Intermediate Blue, and Insignia White. From mid-1944, this scheme began to be replaced by a solid Glossy Sea Blue paint, which was much more practical to maintain on aircraft carriers. The set also includes colors dedicated to anti-submarine warfare (ASW) variants operating in the Atlantic theater.

Contents of the set:

HTK-B001 Dark Sea Blue (ANA 623) - used on upper surfaces and as an overall color from mid-1944.
HTK-B027 Intermediate Blue (ANA 608) - used on the sides of the fuselage and vertical stabilizer from January 1943 to mid-1944.
HTK-B049 Insignia White (ANA 511) - color of the lower surfaces of carrier aircraft and ASW machines.
HTK-B044 Dark Gull Grey (ANA 621) - used from June 1944 in ASW schemes on upper surfaces.
HTK-B048 Light Gull Grey (ANA 620) - used from June 1944 on the sides of the fuselage in ASW schemes in the Atlantic.
HTK-B211 Interior Green (ANA 611) - standard color for the interiors of cockpits of most US Navy aircraft during this period.
