Description
Plastic military model kit for assembly: Russian Light AA gun set 1:35 Meng SPS26
The model kit from Meng allows you to build replicas of Soviet light anti-aircraft guns, which played a key role in the air defense of the USSR during World War II. The main element of the set is the 37 mm K-61 cannon, a design based on proven solutions of the Bofors system.
Historical background:
The K-61 cannon was developed in the late 1930s and adopted by the Red Army in 1938. It was an automatic weapon with a wedge breech, fed from clips containing 5 rounds each. It was distinguished by exceptional mobility and an impressive transition time from march to combat position, which was only 25-30 seconds. During the war, it is estimated that cannons of this type contributed to the destruction or damage of approximately 14,500 enemy aircraft. After the war, production continued under license in many countries, including Poland and China.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, you need separately sold modeling tools (e.g., nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
